CATURRA VARIETY

Is a natural mutation of the Bourbon variety and is prized for its excellent cup quality and productivity. It originated in Brazil in the early 20th century and has since spread to other coffee-growing regions worldwide. Caturra plants are shorter in stature compared to traditional Bourbon plants, which makes them easier to harvest and cultivate. They produce high yields of cherries and are known for their bright acidity, medium body, and sweet flavor notes, often with hints of citrus and caramel. Caturra is a popular choice among coffee farmers and roasters alike for its balanced cup profile and ease of cultivation.
