Origin: El Sinaí by Alfredo Rojas
Alfredo Rojas was born on a coffee farm to parents, who dedicated their lives to coffee production. From a young age, his father gifted him a small plot of land, sparking a deep commitment to growing his own coffee. With hard work and dedication, Alfredo managed to eventually purchase his own farm, where he cultivates varieties such as Caturra, Castillo, and CENICAFÉ 1, following the recommendations of the coffee committee. He now runs his farm, El Sinai, together with his wife, Yolanda Guevara Rojas, and their daughter, Viviana Sofía Rojas Guevara—a natural resource management technologist. For Alfredo, coffee farming is not just a job but a way of life in nature. “Each day, I work with passion and love, showing that it is possible to achieve great results while caring for the environment. In the end, seeing the fruits of our efforts and receiving recognition for the quality of our coffee makes me feel that I am honoring my parents and the legacy they left me. I am a coffee producer, dedicated not only to cultivating a product but also to building a sustainable future”, he says.
