Masaguara

Angelica Mancia inherited the land from her father. From a young age, she loved spending time on the farm, and when the plot of land passed on to her, planting coffee was the natural choice. Beginnings weren’t easy. She took out a loan to establish the farm and worked alongside her husband to bring it to life. Today, eight family members and seasonal workers support her through the demanding harvest and processing.

Angelica’s dream is to keep improving her infrastructure, especially her dryers, and secure better markets that truly value her coffee.

At El Matazano, harvest runs from January to April, with only ripe Typica cherries carefully handpicked. Angelica processes her coffee at Beneficio Las Mujeres. The coffee is depulped the same day, fermented for up to 60 hours, washed with clean water, and dried slowly on solar dryers for up to 30 days.Consistent pruning, fertilisation, and careful post-harvest practices ensure the high quality of this washed microlot.
